Ed Parker provides overall vision, direction, and collaborative leadership for Moruga initiatives while ensuring the financial health and growth of the company. Leveraging a background of executive leadership roles in telecommunications and related professional services that spans two decades, Ed is both Founder and CEO for Moruga, driving its strategic engagement and building its extensive network of experts. 

Driven by a personal commitment to ensuring the team has the resources it needs to succeed, Ed aspires to create a culture that promotes positive communication, empowers team leadership, and demonstrates flexibility. Ed is quick to point out the capabilities of his colleagues and their efforts to ensure Moruga combines exemplary service and support with the latest technologies.  

Ed brings a mindset of agile response to Moruga, setting the tone of adaptability in an industry for which change and growth are natural parts of business. He believes employee empowerment creates robust solutions, and that building partnerships is a crucial component of effectively implementing the technology infrastructure required to address simple and complex customer needs. According to Ed, there’s no client scenario that Moruga’s dynamic team isn’t prepared to address. 

Ed served as Venicom’s executive vice president prior to acquiring its Carrier and Technical Services divisions, leading to the creation of Moruga in early 2021. Before Venicom, Ed served in an executive role for XO Communications – like Venicom, just one of the several companies that first brought together today’s Moruga team. Some of Ed’s past contributions include leadership through comprehensive, tech-forward transformations with significant, high-visibility impacts for clients, including enhancing infrastructure, constructing cybersecurity practices, redesigning technology approaches and delivery models, and strengthening client management. He has been at the helm of client solution initiatives ranging from cloud delivery models to proprietary system development. 

Under Ed’s leadership, the Moruga team is already being recognized, such as earning the 2021 Visionary Spotlight Award from Channel Vision in the cybersecurity category. His downtime includes family, golf, guitars, and snowboarding, but he admits he typically prefers to just be at home with his wife and 3 dogs.
